Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. The songs she wrote were composed before she knew how to read and write. She got her first guitar when she was 8 and started performing on a Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. The same year she released her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. As a student in high school She made her mark locally but dreamed about an even bigger stage. The day she was able to graduate from high school, it was 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were the first two albums to chart for Monument Records. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton accepted the role in 1966, joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The band split in 1974 when her solo singles such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene outsold the collaborations. Parton following the breakup of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and made it to No. First time, in 1974.
